I have a series of beautiful summer weddings to share - starting with Kara and Marc's gorgeous celebration at Appleford Estate. Flowers by Beautiful Blooms and coordination by Lovely Girls, who, just like their name were completely lovely to work with.

08.05.10 - Weddings and it was all yellow

I always love working with my wonderfully creative Melissa Paul over at Evantine, we had so much fun photographing this beautiful shower on a very hot day in July. I love all her fantastic ideas and the paper by Papery pulled everything together beautifully.

07.20.10 - Weddings shari + michael

Shari and Michel traveled from L.A. to have their wedding at the beautiful Waterworks restaurant in Philadelphia. The few days before their wedding was a whirlwind schedule of last minute details, including an engagement session the day before their wedding since I had not met Michael yet. I loved learning about Shari and Michael, how they met, their tastes and styles. They both had such a great time at their wedding - as Sophia at Waterworks said "what I love about them is that they are all about having fun on their wedding day." And there was a lot of fun to be had! These are just a few of my favorite images from their wedding:

07.14.10 - Weddings Lauren + Alex

I loved photographing Lauren and Alex's wedding last month in Rehoboth, it was the perfect beautiful beach day. We had some very special guest appearances including their sweet little dog Pokey, who was not interested in staying behind when we were leaving for the ceremony and sat on Lauren's dress in protest. At the reception Elvis appeared and was enthusiastically greeted with cheers and laughter, and after a few songs everyone at the wedding was out of their seat and on the dance floor. That evening I was still humming the lyrics to suspicious minds on the drive home to Wilmington, smiling about what a lovely and beautiful day it was.

07.05.10 - Weddings chanell and chris

I loved photographing Chanell and Chris, a wonderful couple with three dogs who were very excited about their cameo in our photo session. After I photographed the couple with the dogs, I was about to send them back to the car with Chanell's mom and each one of looked at me as if to say "hey! what about my moment?" So we laughed hysterically together as each one posed for the camera.

06.28.10 - Weddings jilly and tommy

The wedding of Jilly and Tommy is sweet for me to share, because of the long personal connection we have had with Jilly. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Jill had me picked out to be her wedding photographer before even meeting Tommy! She is the best friend of my favorite first employee, Becca, and over the years has tirelessly helped out, supported and cheered on our little photography business. And during it all she talked about how someday I would photograph her wedding. Then she met Tommy and it all came together on a beautiful day in Rehoboth in May. It was the perfect fun beach wedding and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

05.19.10 - Weddings events at terrain

My friends at Terrain held a lovely event last week and I am just so excited to post the photos from it! Terrain is such a happy place for me, I love going there to relax and grab a cup of tea. They are now doing events which I think is a great idea, it's a perfect place for a whimsical and sophisticated garden wedding. The Terrain stylists were in charge of decor, so it has that great natural touch you see throughout the garden.

I actually took the photo on the right of my bride-now-friend Nicole, and the uber talented Dallas Shaw created a bridal fashion illustration from the photograph. I love the side by side of the two together!
