After the Ceremony

I’m proud to announce the publication of my book, After the Ceremony published by Studio Absolute. This is a passion project I've been working on for the past year with one of my best friends from high school, Kristy Lysik, who wrote the narratives. I got the idea after thinking about how many amazing wedding books are devoted to design and décor, but none that tell the story of those dynamic wedding moments captured through photography. Each personal account focuses on a single image that tells the story of that couple’s wedding in a really personal way.

I’m also excited that $10 from the sale of every copy goes to the Avon Foundation, a fantastic non-profit that Kristy’s connected with. You may have seen their most recent celebrity advocate, Reese Witherspoon, touting the organization in magazines and on TV. The Avon Foundation focuses on women’s issues and funds a variety of causes. It’s important to me to help support such ventures because business has been good to me, and I would feel selfish if I didn’t have the intention of being good back.

Hello, and welcome to the Laura Novak Photography blog! I am a portrait photographer with offices in Wilmington, Delaware and New York, NY. My many loves include family, beautiful design, clean lines, handmade items, organic living, vintage fabric and of course, photography.

My Wilmington, Delaware studio is buzzing with a wonderful staff with great energy and features beautiful examples of how to decorate your home with images of those you love the most. On this blog you will find a bit of wonderful design favorites, some of my family photography and the ways in which I pull it all together.
